The Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP) is a grant funded program that offers no cost breast and cervical cancer screenings to women age 40 and above who have lower incomes and are uninsured. Provided screenings may include mammograms, pap, pelvic, and breast exams. The Region 4 Breast and Cervical Cancer Project (BCCP), also known as “A Woman First” serves women in Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Sandusky, Williams and Wood Counties.
If you live in a household with limited income, have no health insurance, and are 40 years of age or older, you may be able to receive these free medical services. Find out if you are eligible here.
Women who have been screened through BCCP that are found to need treatment for breast cancer, cervical cancer or pre-cancerous conditions will be covered by BCCP Medicaid for their cancer treatment and other healthcare needs.
