When found early, nearly all breast and cervical cancers can be treated successfully. In Ohio, screenings are covered at no cost for most women who have insurance coverage. For women without insurance, there may be programs to help them receive lifesaving screenings.
The Ohio Department of Health Breast and Cervical Cancer Project (BCCP) can help women navigate cancer screenings through the BCCP Patient Navigation Program. The Ohio BCCP program offers no-cost breast and cervical cancer screenings and diagnostic testing to qualified participants.
The BCCP program for Northwest Ohio operates out of the Fulton County Health Department in Wauseon, Ohio. They offer high-quality screenings and diagnostics at no cost to eligible women at a contracted provider of the woman’s choice, while providing individualized support and assistance.
