What we offer
We offer a home visit with a registered nurse at no cost to all families with newborn children, including adoptive, foster, and bereaved families in Henry County.
What does it cost?
A visit is provided by a licensed registered nurse at no cost, regardless of insurance, income, or where baby is born.
How a visiting nurse can help
Your Family Connects visiting nurse is here to support you, your baby, and your family, by providing health checks, connecting you to resources and more.
What is Family Connects Ohio?
- Family Connects Ohio (FCO) is a universal home visiting program that offers a free in-home visit by a registered nurse to all families with a new baby in participating counties across Ohio, including adoptive, foster, and bereaved families.
- There is no income requirement and families are eligible regardless of if this is their first baby.
- Visits generally occur around 3 weeks after the child is born and last around 1.5-2 hours.
- The visits will be conducted by a registered nurse with an additional FCO home visiting credential.
- While providing the visit in the family’s natural setting is preferred, we can provide a visit in our office, or other locations that the family may feel more comfortable with.
