Joy Ermie

Joy is the Health Commissioner of Henry County where she advocates for Henry County’s health by convening partners, collecting data, and implementing county wide programming. She has Bachelor of Science degree double majoring in Biology and Public Health as well as a Master’s of Public Health. She has skills in brainstorming, leading, quality improvement, advocacy, facilitation, convening, strategic planning, systems thinking. She brings technical ability in strategic planning, budgeting, financial management, program management, public relations, grant writing, government affairs and advocacy, and policy.

Trae Gulgin

Trae is the epidemiologist at Henry County Health Department where he works on disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, infection prevention and control, and data analytics. He has a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Animal Science, minor in Chemistry and a Masters of Public Health- Veterinary public health with an Epidemiology track. He has skills in data analytics and other fields that he brings to the table.

Lukas Wise

Lukas is the public health informatics analyst at Henry County Health Department where he works on data analytics related to various public health functions. He has a Bachelors of Applied Science in Health Science with a concentration in Healthcare Adminstration and a minor in General Business; and is a student at The City University of New York working towards a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics. He has skills in data analytics, computer science, informatics, administration, and business functions that he brings to the table.

Kim Rex

Kim is the center director at Health partners of Western Ohio where she works on overseeing both sites. She has a Bachelors Science in Social Work and a Masters in Organizational Leadership. She has 30 years of professional experience with skills in healthcare with public relations, relationship building, and marketing.

Kayla Von Deylen

Kayla Von Deylen is a school social worker at Patrick Henry Local Schools where she provides mental health counseling to our students and serves as the link between home, school, and the community. She has a Masters of Social work and is a licensed social worker. She has skills in mental health services and support in strategic planning, program management and evaluation.

Marie Zimmerman

Marie Zimmerman is a Health Services Coordinator and Registered Nurse at Filling Home of Mercy where she manages a caseload of resident care; manages the nursing team; and assists with infection control. She has an associates degree and is a registered nurse. She has skills in nursing with strategic planning, evaluation, and policy.

Nicole Spangler

Nicole Spangler is a Health Educator at Henry County Health Department where she works on mental health resources and education and is involved in #4YMH. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a focus in journalism. She has 17 years of experience to draw from providing skills in strategic planning and public relations that she can bring to the work group.

Tiffany Day

Tiffany Day is a Public Health Specialist in Mental Health at Henry County Health Department where she works on trauma-Informed care, grief, workforce development, succession planning, wellness, as well as grant reporting and deliverables. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology as well as a Master of Public Health in Health Education and Disaster Management. She has 20 years of experience to draw from in mental health, community work, and writing; providing skills in strategic planning, evaluation and grant writing that she can bring to the work group.

Kristin Campos

Kristin Campos is a Public Assistance Supervisor at Henry County Job and Family Services where she works on supervising applications and assistance to the public for Cash, SNAP, Medicaid, Childcare, and PRC. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Gerontology as well as 20 or more years of experience to draw from in her field, providing skills in financial management, program management, and policy.

Bethany Shirkey

Bethany Shirkey is Director of Quality Improvement at Hthe Four County ADAMhs Board where she works on managing/applying for grants, auditing agencies (access, clinical, financial), monitoring/assessing community needs/programs. She has a Bachelor of Social Work and Psychology degree in Gerontology as well as 8 years of experience to draw from in mental health and substance use, providing skills in strategic planning, program management, evaluation, grant writing and, and government affairs/advocacy.

Heather Stiriz

Heather is a clinical supervisor at OGS renewal Center where she manages and supervises the residential SUD treatment program. She has a masters degree in clinical counseling as well as 26 years of experience to draw from in substance use, providing skills in public relations that she brings to the group.

Vanessa Cash

Vanessa is a public health nurse at HCHD where she coordinates the Get Vaccinated grant program, provides vaccine education to the public and providers, administers vaccines, and works as the school nurse for parochial schools. She has Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Applied Health Science and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree. She has skills in vaccine education, community connections, grant writing, fundraising, government affairs, and policy.

Angie Franklin

Angie is Executive Director of Northwestern Ohio Community Action Commission (NOCAC) where she approves program operations and grants and provides oversight of all NOCAC services and programs. She has Bachelor of Arts in Social Work and 36 years of field experience. She has skills in grant writing, government affairs and policy as they relate to housing and supporting issues that address poverty.

Jeremy Suttles

Jeremy is a Community Engagement and Partnership Coordinator at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System where he works on Engagement with community partners and coalitions, providing trainings and technical assistance on a variety of topics, and suicide prevention. He has the following degrees: Master’s in Social Work; Master’s in Education; Bachelor of Arts, English Major and Minors in Journalism and Latin. His 21 years of field experience also brought him a host of skills in mental health, training, suicide prevention, and veterans such as strategic planning, program management, and public relations.

Bria Tijerina-Stevens

Bria is a Youth facilitator and sexual risk avoidance specialist at The Ridge Project TYRO where she works on teaching TYRO inside of schools, juvenile detention centers, youth treatment centers, and in adult facilities with dads who are incarcerated and their family and also leads our Ohio Youth Congress here in Henry county.She is just taking off in her career and has skills in public relations to bring to the group.

Ginny Minnick

Ginny is principal of St. Augustine Catholic School where she oversees all facets of leadership. She has a Bachelors of Business Administration and Masters in Global Leadership to complement her 22 years of experience. She brings us skills in strategic planning, evaluation, public relations, grant writing, fundraising, and policy.

Julie Weber

Julie is a School Climate and Culture Consultant at Northwest Ohio Educational Service Center (NwOESC) where she provides guidance as schools choose SEL and prevention curriculum and programs, helps schools meet state mandates like House Bill 123, Erin’s Law, etc; trains for some programming, and helps teachers with emotional dysregulation and classroom management. She has a Bachelor of Religious Education and Master of Curriculum and Instruction degree to go along with over 20 years of experience providing her with skills in working with youth, catering programming to fit into school day, working with adults who have the most time with children, some data collection and analysis, training, public speaking. Additionally strategic planning, budgeting, program management, evaluation, and grant writing.

Bobbie Abel

Bobbie is Market President at Main Street Health where she oversees all operations and partnership relations throughout OH and PA. She has a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy along with 25 years of experience providing her with skills in population health; quality measures; advocacy; operations; strategy/innovation. Strategic planning, program management, evaluation, and government affairs also make the list of skills Bobbie brings to the group.

Nicky Ferguson

Nicky is a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Liaison at the Multi Area Narcotics Task Force where she works on connecting people with addiction and mental illness to the appropriate resources. Responding to overdoses Establishing QRT Teams in counties that do not have them Providing education to community agencies. She has 20 years of experience in Mental Health and Stubstance Abuse providing her with skills in public relations.

Margaret Osborne

Margaret is the Northwest Ohio Regional Liaison at Ohio Mental Health & Addiction Services where she works on Connecting with stakeholders, sharing information about the Department and our initiatives, and am a resource to connect stakeholders to Subject Matter Experts and responds to overdoses Establishing QRT Teams in counties that do not have them Providing education to community agencies. She has 29 years of experience of awareness of state resources and connecting to subject matter experts providing her with skills in public relations and government affairs.

Alex Garcia

Alexis the Crisis Supervisor at Ohio Guidestone where he supervises or works as the 24/7 Call Center Specialist hotline, supervise their Crisis Assessors who see people for emergency mental health assessments in the community. He also works as a Crisis Assessor from time to time leading his team from the front line, helps with our CCBHC Urgent Care Clinic and fills in as needed. He has 12 years of experience and a Bachelors of Social Work giving him skills of evaluation and public relations in the field of mental health advocacy and substance misuse. Alex has lived in this area his whole life giving him an exceptional understanding of how living in a rural community impacts healthcare access and a good working knowledge of the community overall.

Heather Strauser

Heather is a building administrator at Vancrest of Holgate where she oversees building operations day to day. She has 10+ years of experience and a Bachelor of LTC Admin and Gerontology, and an MBA giving her skills in public relations and healthcare ideas.

Jacqueline Thomas

Jacqueline is a public health nurse at Henry County Health Department where she operates in Immunizations, school nursing, and as a case manager for CMH. She has 14 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing giving her skills in public relations and fundraising. She also has two young children at home providing her with many other complementary skills.

Jessica Buhrman

Jess is a Help Me Grow Coordinator at Henry County Health Department where she supports families with their children’s development and provides parenting support/education with our Growing Great Kids curriculum, supervises home visitors with their families and manages the lactation program we provide families. She has 13 years of experience in social work and a Bachelors in Social Work with a minor in Sociology & Business Admin giving her skills in working with individuals who have a history of mental health and/or substance abuse and helping them navigate various community resources, program management and public relations.

Christine McVay

Christine is Director of Programs at OhioGuidestone where she oversees 24/7 programs such as crisis, ccbhc, recovery housing and renewal center; and serving men in our SUD renewal center and recovery housing programs. She has 34 years of experience and a master’s degree in social work giving her skills such as strategic planning and program management in the field of mental health.

Kelli Burkhardt

Kelli is Executive Director and Board President at Together and PiLLars. She has 37 years of experience and a BS in Business Administration giving her skills in public relations and other skills to help our group.

Marissa Hergert

Marissa is an HMG Coordinator at HCHD where she supervises home visitors and serves families. She has 6 years of experience and a BS in Psychology and Addiction Counseling giving her skills such as strategic planning, program management, and policy with working in the low income communities of Henry County.

Wendy Jennings

Wendy is Executive Director at NAMI Four County Ohio where she wears many hats. She has 45+ years of experience and a degree in business management. She has skills in the following areas: Advocacy, Disability Rights, Employment Supports, Graphic Design, Marketing and Promotions, HR, Operations, Training, Peer Support, Support Group Facilitation, Production Management, Program Leader, Community Presentations. She has these skills that she brings to the group: Strategic planning, budgeting, program management, evaluation, public relations, fundraising and government affairs and advocacy. She also has experience with navigating multiple youth and adult systems including schools, criminal justice, drug rehab and recovery.

Kelly Rieke

Kelly is superintendent of Henry County Board of DD / HOPE Services. A Master’s degree in business administration which helps her to provide strategic planning, budgeting, and other skills in the area of serving the needs within the DD community.
